What will the new rates be for 2025?
The 2025 GRI will average *4-7%. The exact adjustments will vary depending on method, zone, and billable weight.
*Important Note for Packages Under 8oz: Due to USPS changes (detailed below), packages lighter than 8oz may see higher percentage increases than the 4-7% average.

When will The Edwards Edge’s new rates be in effect?
The new rates will go into effect for The Edwards Edge services:

The Edwards Edge 2-Day: Effective January 1st, 2025
The Edwards Edge Standard:
- Effective January 1st, 2025, for shipments with a billable weight over 1lb
- Effective January 19th, 2025, for shipments with a billable weight under 1lb
The Edwards Edge Economy: Effective January 19th, 2025

What is USPS doing differently?
USPS has announced a two-part rate increase for 2025. They will implement a 5.9% increase on January 1st and an additional 9.2% increase on January 19th for Parcel Select. This is on top of a 25% increase implemented in July 2024. While these specific increases do not directly apply to you, they significantly impact carriers' rates, ultimately affecting The Edwards Edge and our customers.

In addition, USPS is eliminating under 1lb pricing from many carrier and consolidator contracts. This change has forced providers like UPS Mail Innovations (UPS MI) and DHL eCommerce to adjust their pricing for under 1lb shipments. This impacts the entire industry, including The Edwards Edge.

We understand these USPS changes may be concerning and are committed to supporting your business through them. A key part of that support is our Virtual Carrier Network (VCN), which provides significant advantages in navigating these rate increases:
